For iOS users to ensure you don't miss important alerts, we recommend setting up two things: setting Persistent Notifications and checking your Sound Settings. Once these are set up, you shouldn't have to reset them again.
Set Paige Notifications to “Persistent”
This step ensures that notifications stay on your screen until you interact with them.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap Notifications.
Scroll down and select Paige from the list of apps.
Under Alerts, make sure Banners are turned on. (You will see a preview at the top of the screen).
Tap Banner Style and select Persistent.
Press Back or swipe up to return to your home screen.
Tip: You can repeat these steps for any other apps where you want persistent notifications.
Check That Sounds Are On
Follow these steps to ensure you'll hear the notification sound.
In-App Settings Check: Go to Settings - Notifications - Paige, and make sure Sounds is toggled on.
Device Volume Check: Go back to Settings - Sounds & Haptics and confirm the Ringer and Alerts volume slider is turned up. Try pressing the volume up button on the side of your phone to ensure the sound isn’t muted.
Silent Mode Check: On the side of your iPhone, check the Ring/Silent switch (just above the volume buttons). If you see orange, it means Silent Mode is ON. Flip the switch so that the orange is not showing.
Quick Test After completing the steps above, try sending a test call or notification through the Paige app. You should now hear a sound and see a notification that stays visible until you acknowledge it.
Due to limitations set by Google, the Paige Connect App cannot automatically force all notification settings to be "on." This means you may need to adjust your phone's settings manually to ensure you receive clear alerts.
While the steps below are based on a common Samsung phone, they should be very similar across most modern Android devices.
Recommended Android Notification Settings
Open your phone's Settings app.
Navigate to Notifications (or Notifications & status bar).
Select App notifications (or Manage notifications).
Find and select the Paige App in the list.
On the Paige notification settings screen, you will likely see options for different alert types. Turn ON (enable) the following settings:
Allow notifications (main toggle)
Show as pop-ups (or Banners/Heads-up)
App icon badges (or Notification dots)
If available, ensure all sub-categories (like "Messages" or "Alerts") are also enabled.
What These Settings Do
Enabling the recommended settings will improve your experience by providing:
A notification on your lock screen and in your notification shade.
A pop-up banner at the top of your screen when you are actively using your phone.
A red dot (badge) on the top-right corner of the Paige App icon, similar to other message apps.
Important Note on Phone Status
If your phone is set to Silent or Do Not Disturb (DND) mode, this will override all of the above notification settings. Ensure your phone is set to Sound or Vibrate to hear or feel the alerts.
