Setup is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Plug in the frame Your frame will turn on automatically once plugged in.
   

2. Connect to Wi-Fi Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your internet network.
   

3. Install the Paige Connect App Scan the on screen QR code to install the Paige Connect companion app and the rest of the setup will take place on your smartphone.

Yes, Paige requires an internet connection, wired or Wi-Fi.

What if these messages aren't displayed or if I accidentally selected "CANCEL" or "NO THANKS" during setup?

If these messages were not displayed or if you accidentally selected CANCEL or NO THANKS on the Wi-Fi permission menus, you will need to manually reset the Paige App's Wi-Fi control setting. Please follow these instructions:

1. Power up your Paige frame.

2. Tap the bottom right corner of the screen 10 times to display the hidden System Menu.

3. Select Open Android Settings.

4. Select Apps (usually the third item from the top).

5. Scroll down and select Special App Access (the last item on this page).

6. Scroll to the bottom and select Wi-Fi Control (the second-last item on this page).

7. Locate and select Paige.

8. Toggle Allow app to control Wi-Fi to the On position.

9. Restart your device using the power button on the back of the unit.

10. After the restart: The device may attempt to automatically connect to previous Wi-Fi networks. To immediately begin the new connection process, simply tap anywhere on the screen to interrupt the automatic attempt.

11. Use the drop-down menu to select your desired Wi-Fi network and enter your password.

12. Important: As you reconnect, please select CONNECT or ALLOW if presented with any Wi-Fi permission menus.

Due to limitations set by Google, the Paige Connect App cannot automatically force all notification settings to be "on." This means you may need to adjust your phone's settings manually to ensure you receive clear alerts.

While the steps below are based on a common Samsung phone, they should be very similar across most modern Android devices.

Recommended Android Notification Settings

1. Open your phone's Settings app.

2. Navigate to Notifications (or Notifications & status bar).

3. Select App notifications (or Manage notifications).

4. Find and select the Paige App in the list.

5. On the Paige notification settings screen, you will likely see options for different alert types. Turn ON (enable) the following settings:

   1. Allow notifications (main toggle)

   2. Show as pop-ups (or Banners/Heads-up)

   3. App icon badges (or Notification dots)

   4. If available, ensure all sub-categories (like "Messages" or "Alerts") are also enabled.

What These Settings Do

Enabling the recommended settings will improve your experience by providing:

1. A notification on your lock screen and in your notification shade.

2. A pop-up banner at the top of your screen when you are actively using your phone.

3. A red dot (badge) on the top-right corner of the Paige App icon, similar to other message apps.

Important Note on Phone Status

If your phone is set to Silent or Do Not Disturb (DND) mode, this will override all of the above notification settings. Ensure your phone is set to Sound or Vibrate to hear or feel the alerts.

Invite contacts to your family member's Paige frame using the Paige Connect companion app.

No, there is no limit to the number of contacts you can add to a Paige frame. However, for the best user experience, we limit the number of displayed contacts to six. You can manage this feature and all other settings using the Paige Connect companion app.

To contact you, a your loved one simply taps on your photo displayed on their Paige frame. Paige will let you know that they would like you to contact them by sending a notification directly to your smartphone. When you receive an inbound notification, select "Join call".

Yes, you can make calls to Paige frames where you've been added as a contact using the Paige Connect companion app.

Yes. Each Paige frame has two powerful speakers. Depending on the model, volume controls are available on the device or using the Paige Connect companion app.
